New service and sales manager
To expand sales of the conversion of existing heavy-duty trucks with diesel engines to zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell technology, Markus Körner (53) has joined the Clean Logistics team. After training as a vehicle mechanic and subsequently studying to become a mechanical engineer, Mr Körner worked for many years in leading positions in the service and sales of commercial vehicles, from vans to heavy-duty trucks, for MAN Truck & Bus and Daimler AG.
Mr Körner will use his market knowledge and experience to find certified partners to convert large numbers of trucks to HyBatt trucks with a hydrogen hybrid drive. HyBatt truck prototypes 1-5 and pilot production vehicles 6-30 will be manufactured at eCap in Winsen (Luhe), Germany. Starting in 2021, the series-production vehicles will be converted at selected partners with kits supplied by Clean Logistics to meet the anticipated high demand with over 600,000 heavy-duty trucks on Germany's roads alone.
Handover of BMVI grant notification to Clean Logistics
With the handover of a grant from the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), Clean Logistics has been given additional planning security for its innovative business idea: the conversion of heavy diesel trucks to hydrogen hybrid drives. To this end, BMVI State Secretary Enak Ferlemann handed over the notification in the amount of 3.3 million euros to Executive Directors Dirk Graszt and Dirk Lehmann on 2nd October 2019. In just one year's time, the first climate-friendly converted HyBatt trucks will be able to get road approval.
Production hall in Winsen (Luhe) opened
Our team and our partners from E-Cap Mobility GmbH and Home of Classics GmbH & Co. KG celebrated the opening of the new production hall in Messerschmittstraße in the Winsen-Ost industrial park. After only six months of construction, everything is now ready for the first conversions of heavy diesel trucks to HyBatt trucks with hydrogen hybrid drives.
