Clean Logistics receives reservation for conversion stations to produce 40 hydrogen trucks

  • Clean Logistics supports project partner GP Joule in developing a sustainable mobility concept
  • Delivery of the battery-electric hydrogen trucks planned for 2023
  • Total order volume expected to be in the lower double-digit million-euro range

Hamburg, 23 June 2022: Clean Logistics SE (ISIN DE000A1YDAZ7) has signed a contract for a reservation of 40 stations for the conversion of semi-trailer tractors to trucks with hydrogen-electric drive with GP Joule GmbH. The company made the announcement together with its partner GP Joule at the world premiere of the first hydrogen-powered truck "fyuriant".

GP Joule is a leader in the production of green hydrogen and regenerative energies as well as the associated hydrogen infrastructure. The equipment of the vehicles with the emission-free drive train is to begin after the funding applications and the corresponding contracts have been approved. In addition to the hydrogen tank, battery and fuel cell components, the in-house developed axle with wheel hub motors and the special control system of Clean Logistics will also be used. For Clean Logistics, the contract is associated with revenues in the lower double-digit million-euro range. Clean Logistics is currently in advanced talks with other interested parties for the conversion of diesel tractor units to emission-free hydrogen trucks.

GP Joule intends to lease the hydrogen trucks of Clean Logistics to logistics companies in Germany. Logistics and trading companies are to be offered a full range of services from a single source along the entire value chain. In addition to the provision of hydrogen as well as storage and refuelling facilities, this also includes the corresponding low-emission hydrogen trucks.

Dirk Graszt, CEO of Clean Logistics: "We are very much looking forward to the cooperation with GP Joule. Together we will drive the decarbonisation of heavy goods transport and thus accelerate the transition to a sustainable future. Our business is picking up significant momentum with the expansion of our conversion capacities in Winsen (Luhe), and we are in advanced discussions with companies from all over Germany. Consequently, we are optimistic about our development in the coming months."
